To support the continued growth of our Tax practice, we are currently seeking a Junior Immigration Specialist to join our Global Mobility team.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of immigration and mobility services to multinational and local clients, ensuring compliance with Romanian immigration legislation and relevant tax regulations. Given the nature of the position, frequent interaction with public authorities and in-person case management will be required.

 

What will you do?

  • Prepare, review and submit immigration documentation for work permits, residence permits (EU and non-EU nationals), extensions and renewals, registration certificates, personal identification numbers and related administrative documentation
  • Liaise directly with Romanian authorities, including the General Inspectorate for Immigration, National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), local tax authorities, labor authorities and population records offices
  • Attend in-person appointments and manage document submission and collection (frequent field activity required)
  • Monitor statutory deadlines and track the status of ongoing applications
  • Guide clients through immigration procedures, clearly outlining documentation requirements and process steps
  • Maintain accurate internal records, trackers and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with Tax and Global Mobility teams on cross-border employment, tax residency and employee mobility projects
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislative and regulatory developments

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Economics or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in immigration, legal, administrative or tax-related roles (immigration exposure is an advantage)
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Availability for frequent travel within the city
