What are we looking for?
- Professional qualifications: ACCA, CAFR, or other similar accounting frameworks (required).
- Relevant experience: At least 6 years of experience in audit and assurance services for medium to large clients within Commercial and/or Financial Services industries.
- Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Business understanding: Good knowledge of the Romanian market and local business environment.
- Leadership capability: Proven experience in leading teams, managing performance, and mentoring junior professionals.
- Analytical & delivery focused: Ability to deliver high‑quality work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively.
- Communication skills: Excellent English and Romanian (written & spoken). Other European languages are an advantage.
- Professional mindset: Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and committed to collaboration in a professional services environment.
What will you do?
- Engagement leadership: Lead audit engagements for Romanian and international clients, ensuring delivery in line with KPMG audit methodology and quality standards.
- Team management & development: Coordinate, coach, and develop junior team members through on‑the‑job training and structured performance feedback.
- Quality & risk management: Review audit work, exercise professional judgment, and ensure compliance with accounting, auditing, and independence requirements.
- Client relationship management: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client management and key stakeholders.
- Business development: Contribute to the growth of the audit client portfolio through relationship building, opportunity identification, and proposal support.
