What will you actually do?
- Lead audit engagements in the financial sector or commercial sector, ensuring high‑quality delivery in line with KPMG methodologies, standards, and timelines.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior and experienced team members through on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and formal learning initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client management and internal stakeholders.
- Apply solid knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards, IFRS, or other relevant GAAP, ensuring compliance and sound professional judgment.
- Support management with KPI analysis, performance reporting, and engagement insights.
- Contribute to audit process enhancement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Support the growth of the client portfolio by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposal and business development activities.
Who are you?
- Experienced Audit Professional:
At least 5 years of experience in audit and assurance engagements for medium to large clients within Financial Services or Commercial industries. - Strong Technical Background:
Solid understanding of Romanian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and the Romanian business environment (or other relevant GAAP and markets). - Professional Qualification:
ACCA, CAFR, or similar certifications are an advantage. - Leadership Mindset:
A confident people manager, able to lead teams, motivate others, and foster a collaborative and performance‑oriented culture. - Analytical & Resilient:
Able to deliver quality work under pressure and manage competing deadlines effectively. - Communication Skills:
Excellent English and Romanian (written & spoken). Other foreign languages are a plus. - Driven & Collaborative:
Self‑motivated, growth‑oriented, and committed to teamwork in a professional services environment.
