About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Assistant to join our Tax & Regulatory Watch team. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and summarizing Luxembourg, EU, and international tax and regulatory developments, supporting our client-facing teams and contributing to KPMG’s knowledge services.
Key responsibilities
Daily monitoring of publicly available sources:
Luxembourg: Chamber of Deputies, State Council, Luxembourg Government, Direct and Indirect Tax Administration, Administrative Court, Chamber of Commerce, Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), other service providers.
EU & International: European Commission, EU Council, EU Parliament, CJEU, ESMA, EBA, ECB, OECD, and other relevant institutions.
Daily manual monitoring of non-public tax sources such as Bloomberg, etc.
Shortlisting and summarizing news using appropriate technology, according to relevance for client-facing teams and clients, following established guidelines and formats.
Conducting ad hoc research on emerging directives, laws, and regulations impacting our clients.
Collaborating closely with management and leadership to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information internally and externally.
Understanding KPMG Luxembourg’s key business priorities and aligning your work with the firm’s strategic goals.
Being a proactive team player and contributing to a dynamic work environment.
Candidate's Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Law, Public Administration, Foreign Languages, Public Relations, or a related field.
Strong interest in tax, regulatory developments, and policy monitoring.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Fluent understanding of written French, including tax and legal terminology. Ability to write in French is a plus but not mandatory.
Highly organized, analytical, and able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
