We are currently seeking a Team Leader / Senior Team Leader – Hybrid Role to join our Audit Delivery Academy in Timișoara. This is a dual-focus position:
- 50% of your time will be dedicated to coordinating and developing a delivery team within the Audit Delivery Academy.
- 50% will be dedicated to tutoring 11th and 12th grade high-school students and university students with an economics profile, as part of a 2-year EU-funded PEO project, focusing on practical learning in accounting and finance.
Ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Economics/Polytechnics/Mathematics, with focus on accounting.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Romanian – other European languages will be considered a plus.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or audit activities.
- Knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Good knowledge of the Romanian market and business environment.
- Experience in team management and coordinating projects.
- Demonstrated teaching or mentoring skills, preferably with young audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles.
- Self-motivated, eager to acquire experience and build a career in a professional environment, with a strong team-work spirit.
- Sound knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience within a shared service center would be considered an advantage.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CAFR or other similar frameworks) in progress or completed is a plus, but not a must.
Main responsibilities (Team Leader – 50%):
- Managing a team (~7 staff) delivering audit-related tasks based on information provided by auditors in other KPMG offices.
- Coordinating, coaching and motivating team members.
- Allocating jobs and workload, scheduling tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Reviewing team members’ work and ensuring quality.
- Training new hires and existing staff.
- Providing timely feedback and monthly performance assessments.
- Producing reports and KPIs, contributing to process improvement projects.
- Communicating effectively with clients (audit teams in other KPMG offices).
Main responsibilities (Tutor – 50%):
- Delivering practical accounting and finance training to 11th and 12th grade high-school students and 2nd year university students (economics profile).
- Topics include: bookkeeping and journal entries, financial analysis, interpretation of financial statements, key financial indicators (liquidity, profitability, solvency, ROI, etc.).
- Designing engaging learning sessions and exercises adapted to students’ needs.
- Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback to students.
- Collaborating with project coordinators to ensure compliance with PEO project requirements.
