As a Junior Credit Cards Reconciliation Accountant, you will:

Ensure the process of bookkeeping, credit card reconciliation, and any additional tasks assigned is performed on a regular basis. Pay attention to the quality of the bookkeeping to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Build positive relationships with internal and external clients by responding to queries. Ensure that every Travel & Expenses refund request is in compliance with company policy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Bookkeeping invoices in accounting system

  • Checking correctness of invoices and credit notes
  • Bookkeeping and correcting entries
  • Contacting responsible parties in order to solve issues related to invoices or coding/PO
  • Checking that every purchase order raised is linked to an invoice booked through SAP

2. Statements reconciliation

  • Request account statements on a monthly basis
  • Prepare the reconciliation file by investigating whether open invoices are booked or in process
  • Ensure all costs are considered and post relevant accruals

3. Credit Cards Reconciliation

  • Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile daily credit card transactions with bank statements and internal systems
  • Dispute Management: Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and errors in collaboration with banks and relevant internal departments
  • Payment Tracking: Monitor payments, refunds, and disputed charges
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports related to credit card transactions and present them to management
  • Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of credit card transactions and reconciliations performed
  • Process Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors

4. Travel & Expenses

  • Checking T&E refund requests
  • Validate T&E requests as per compliance with internal policies

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Good Excel skills
  • Knowledge of accounting systems (SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a plus)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the organization
  • English – Fluent (speaking, reading, writing, listening)
