We are seeking a Learning and Development Training Officer to join our team.

Overall objective:

The L&D Training Officer contributes to the organization of KPMG Luxembourg’s annual training programs and learning services by supporting the Learning & Development Business Partner and the Learning Specialists.

The L&D Training Officer collaborates closely with People & Culture team, the Talent Business Partner for Central Services, Heads of Departments and external vendors to create firm-wide learning programs which are aligned with the strategic priorities of the firm.


Major duties and responsibilities:

Planning and coordination of training activities

  • Support the Learning & Development Business Partner and the Learning Specialists for the administrative tasks.
  • Send the training invitations, reply to trainers and participants queries and maintain accurate data in our Learning Management System and databases.
  • Maximize the use of available tools and programs to drive best practices and enhance the user experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key business contacts and stakeholders.

Maintain training tracking and monitoring files for ISQM compliance purposes

Helping the business (within each specific function) on the relevant Professional Qualifications needed in each function and ensuring the business needs are met.

Manage learning programs:

  • Monitor and coordinate the program to ensure delivery on timecoordinate with internal teams (Training Officers, Facilities / IT), including booking and timely cancellation of venues

Training operations:

  • Maintain L&D catalogue and offering
  • Maintain accurate data in our Learning Management System and databases
  • Closely work with other Training Officers and Procurement to monitor registrations, Purchase Orders, and follow-up for external and languages courses
  • Compliance – Tracking of mandatory trainings
  • Provide with KPIs

About you:

  • Hold a bachelor or equivalent in business administration, human resources, economics, event management etc;
  • Good presentation & communication skills and does not hesitate to go the extra mile;
  • Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing). French and/or German is considered an asset;
  • Effective business communication skills: proficiency in written & spoken business English, presentation skills, communication with various stakeholder groups;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Learning Management Systems and digital learning technologies as well as MS Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
  • Excellent communication skills. Has the credibility to present to, interact with, and challenge senior staff;
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills with high attention to detail;
  • Ability to see the big picture or dive into the detail as required with respect to legal, regulatory, and other technical knowledge.
